Slade Green is a southeast London village within the historic Kent county and the London Borough of Bexley. It is located south of Erith, northwest of Dartford and northeast of Bexleyheath and is 23 km (14 miles) east southeast of Charing Cross.
The area is served by Slade Green railway station, with direct train services to Abbey Wood for Crossrail, London Cannon Street for the City of London and Greenwich for DLR. Slade Green is served by numerous bus routes, all operated by Transport for London (TfL). These routes connect the area with other towns such as Sidcup, Dartford, Bluewater, Lewisham and Welling.
Notable buildings and structures in the area include Howbury Manor or Howbury Moat (a Grade II listed tithe barn and a scheduled ancient monument); St. Augustine’s Church (built in 1899); and Railway Tavern. There are several primary and secondary schools in the area as well as another house of worship (Slade Green Christian Fellowship).
