Clapham Junction is a main transport hub close to St. John’s Hill in southwest Battersea in Wandsworth’s London district. It is on both the Brighton and South Western main lines as well as various other branch lines and routes that diverge from or pass through the main lines at this railway station.
In 1988, three trains collided very close to the railway station. It was a terrible accident that ended with 35 dead and more than 100 injured.
