Barnet EN5 played a key role in England’s history. It is the place where almost 600 years ago, the Battle of Barnet took place. The fight had a major impact on the outcome of the War of the Roses. Edward IV from the House of York and his armies won against Henry VI who had support from the House of Lancaster. As a consequence, Edward IV became the first king of England from the House of York.
