Archaeological findings revealed that Haringey N2 area was inhabited since the Stone Age and the Bronze Age. The Celtic tribe Trinobantes lived here before the Roman conquest. Haringey name is derived from Haering, the Saxon chieftain who lived here in the 5th or 6th century.
Jackson Lane is a performing center opened in 1975. It is located in a former Wesleyan Methodist church that was originally built in 1905. The venue hosted shows by Stephen Merchant, The Mighty Boosh, Frantic Assembly, and more. In 1980, the European Juggling Convention took place here.
