Eynsford is a civil parish and village located in Sevenoaks District in Kent. Including the area’s woods and farmland, it takes up the northern half of the triangle put into place by three motorways situated in west Kent.
Eynsford Castle is found in this scenic village and is a remarkable example of an enclosure castle. It was constructed by Eynsford family and has become the issue of a questioned inheritance.The castle was deserted when it culminated in an act of vandalism in 1312.
Eynsford DA4 is first recorded in a document in 864. Back then, it was known as “Egenes homme”. It is believed that the name derives from the Old English word “hamm” that means river meadow.
Pioneer aviator Percy Pilcher, writer Arthur Mee, and artist Graham Sutherland are among the most famous people who lived here.
