Did you know that...
North Harrow is a Northwest London residential district located northwest of Central Harrow. Its streets have extended from North Harrow tube station (on London Underground’s Metropolitan line), which is just one station away from Harrow-on-the-Hill station. Before the development of the district and the opening of North Harrow tube station, the suburb was formerly called Hooking Green.
Popular attractions in the area include Headstone Manor, Harrow Museum and St. Mary’s Harrow on the Hill. There are several open spaces and parks in North Harrow such as Kenton Recreation Ground, Pinner Park, Bentley Priory Nature Reserve, and Chandos Recreation Ground.
The area has numerous schools and churches, including an Anglican church, dedicated to St. Alban, that was built in the 1930s. North Harrow also has a library, a post office and many independent specialist stores, restaurants, cafés, and take-away shops.
