Did you know that...
South Hornchurch is an area located on the south side of Hornchurch, within the London Borough of Havering, in east London. The town is a suburban development located 21.8 km (13.6 miles) east of Charing Cross.
South Hornchurch is a relatively new addition compared with other more developed localities in Havering. It was constructed on open woodland and the previous location of RAF Hornchurch. The town is adjacent to Rainham to the east, and both villages share the postcode district RM13. They are also linked by the Rainham Bridge over the Ingrebourne.
The River Ingrebourne forms the eastern border with Rainham and the River Beam the western corner with Dagenham. Eastbrookend Country Park is to the north, Elm Park to the northwest and the River Thames and the industrialized Hornchurch Marshes to the south.
