St. Margarets is a residential area within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, approximately 14 km (9 miles) west southwest of Central London. It is bordered by the River Crane to the northwest and the River Thames to the east, north and south. St. Margarets is situated in the Twickenham post town.
St. Margarets railway station serves the area, with 4 train services running to and from Waterloo every hour. The only bus route through the area is the H37 between Richmond and Hounslow. 33, 490, H22, R68 and R70 are the other bus routes close by.
The Grade II listed Gordon House, on the River Thames, is one of the notable structures in St. Margarets. This Georgian mansion was formerly owned by Lord Kilmorey. Another landmark in the area is the Kilmorey Mausoleum, which was constructed in the 1850s and is also a Grade II listed building.
