Stockwell is a southwest London town situated within the London Borough of Lambeth. It lies 3.9 km (2.4 miles) south of Charing Cross. The district is bordered by Brixton, Battersea, Oval, Kennington, South Lambeth and Clapham. Other places near Stockwell are Camberwell, Elephant and Castle and Vauxhall.
London Underground Stockwell tube station, on the Northern line and Victoria line, serves the area.
