Swanley is a civil parish and borough in Kent’s Sevenoaks District, situated around 24 km (15 miles) southeast of central London. It is near the border of the Greater London and within the boundary of the M25 motorway. Swanley Town Council is the area’s local council and has a population of 16,226 as of the 2011 Census.
The area is served by Swanley railway station, with Thameslink and Southeastern services going to Sevenoaks as well as to London Blackfriars via Catford; London Victoria via Bromley South; Canterbury West via Ashford International and Maidstone East; and Dover Priory via Canterbury East and Chatham. There are also numerous bus routes serving Swanley and it is near A20, M20, M25 and A2.
