Did you know that...
Tattenham Corner is a north Surrey district, but the name is primarily linked with Epsom Racecourse. It is within the Tattenhams ward, in the borough of Reigate and Banstead. The area refers to the sharp corner on the track at the upper eastern side of Epsom Racecourse and its nearby vicinity.
Tattenham Corner railway station serves the area and is where the Royal Train used to drop Queen Elizabeth II on race days. The station is nearer to the racecourse as opposed to the Epsom Downs railway station. There are many bus routes that pass through Tattenham Corner, towards Redhill, Epsom or Sutton.
The area is bordered by Nork to the north, Preston Estate to the south, Epsom Downs and Walton Downs to the west, Tadworth to the southwest, and Banstead to the east. There is a Church of England parish established in Tattenham Corner.
