Teddington is a southwest London district that was historically part of Middlesex. It is situated on a long bend of the Thames between Strawberry Hill and Hampton Wick. Teddington is mainly residential and extends from the river all the way to Bushy Park with a long high street of mostly pubs, upmarket stores and restaurants.
There are several primary and secondary schools in Teddington including St. Mary’s & St. Peter’s Primary School on Church Road, Collis Primary School on Fairfax Road and Teddington School. An independent charity, the Landmark Arts Centre offers a wide range of education and arts programs like exhibitions and concerts for the community.
Operated by South Western Railway, Teddington railway station serves the area. It is on the Kingston Loop Line near the intersection of the Shepperton Branch Line, with trains running to London Waterloo – one way via Putney and Richmond every 30 minutes while the other way is via Wimbledon and Kingston upon Thames every 15 minutes. There are also trains that goes to Shepperton every half hour.
