An old English town, Totteridge is currently a suburban district within the London Borough of Barnet. It is located 13.05 km (8.20 miles) north north-west of Charing Cross and is a combination of residential development and countryside (open land).
Totteridge and Whetstone tube station is the nearest London Underground station in the area. In addition, Woodside Park station is located at the Southern corner, near North Finchley. The London Overground station that serves the area is Oakleigh Park railway station. Bus routes 251 and 326 pass through Totteridge.
There are several nature reserves in the area such as Darland’s Lake Nature Reserve, Dollis Brook, Totteridge Fields, Totteridge Croft Field, Totteridge Common, and Folly Brook. Notable residents of Totteridge include astronomer Fiammetta Wilson and former manager for the Arsenal FC Arsene Wenger.
