Upper Edmonton is an area within Edmonton, which is situated in the southeast corner of the London Borough of Enfield. Referred by locals as The Angel, it is the area’s main shopping district and is located between Tottenham and Lower Edmonton. Upper Edmonton is covered under the postcode zone N18.
Upper Edmonton is one of north London’s most diverse areas, with ethnicities such as Chinese, Albanian, Afro-Caribbean, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Turkish, Portuguese, Somalian and Black African. There are several houses of worship such as an Evangelical church and a Muslim mosque.
The area is served by two London Overground railway stations – Angel Road station and Silver Street station, bot of which are operated by British Rail (BR). There are also several bus routes that pass through the Upper Edmonton. The area offers an array of public services, including a general hospital.
