Upton Park is a district in the East London borough of Newham, situated on Green Street, which is the border between East Ham and West Ham. The West Ham United Football Club used to play at Boleyn Ground, a football stadium often referred to as Upton Park.
Upton Park tube station, on the Hammersmith and City line and District line, is the London Underground station that serves the area. Close to the northern edge of Green Street are 2 railway stations – Wanstead Park station (operated by London Overground and is on the Gospel Oak to Barking line) and Forest Gate station (operated by TfL Rail and is on the Great Eastern Main line).
Queens Market (also known as Green Street Market or Queen’s Road Market), a famous street market, and many retail stores can be found in Upton Park. Moreover, the area has Priory Park, a green space which extends from the northeast side of Boleyn Ground.
