West Croydon in south London is a tram stop, railway and bus station all combined, situated in Croydon. It is in Travelcard Zone 5 and served by London Buses, London Overground, National Rail and Tramlink services. West Croydon is the secondary station of Croydon, used mostly by suburban trains, while the primary station, East Croydon, is served by both suburban and express trains to the South Coast and London.
The main entrance of the railway station is located on London Road, which is near the main shopping district, and has ticket barriers that protect the platforms. Trains travel to Highbury & Islington, Sutton, London Bridge and London Victoria, and from there to West Sussex and West Surrey. The railway station can be accessed directly from the nearby tram and bus stops through the entrance located in Station Road.
The tram stop and bus station are just a short walking distance from the railway station. London Buses has a hub at West Croydon’s bus station where 25 bus routes pass through or terminate. West Croydon is also used by all Tramlink routes, with a single platform circling unidirectionally around central Croydon.
