Whitton is southwest London suburban district within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It forms the northwest corner of Twickenham along with its adjacent electoral district of Heathfield. For administrative purposes, both wards often regarded as communal. 1930’s semi-detached and detached homes are the most prevalent housing type in Whitton.
The area has excellent road connections and in clear traffic, the M25 is just 10 minutes by car. Traveling to Hounslow and Richmond is only a 10-minute walk or 5 minutes by car, while Kingston upon Thames is just 20 minutes. Routes H20, H22, 110, 111, 281 and 481 by London Buses serve the area. The nearest station is the Whitton railway station, in Travelcard Zone 5.
There are many green and open spaces in the area such as Hounslow Heath, Crane Park, Murray Park and Chase Green. Whitton also has Rosecroft Gardens (a conservation area), a cinema, a youth center, 3 huge commercial health clubs and several listed buildings like the Shot Tower and Kneller Hall.
