Alexandra Palace is a sports and entertainment venue situated in Muswell Hill within the London Borough of Haringey. This Grade II listed building was constructed by Alfred Meeson and John Johnson and opened in 1873 on the location of Tottenham Wood and subsequently Tottenham Wood Farm.
The West Hall and Great Hall are often utilized for music concerts, conferences and exhibitions, managed by the operating division of the charitable consortium that owns the park and building on behalf of the general public. In addition, Alexandra Palace has a palm court, ice rink, pub and scenic view of central London.
There have been many significant events that was held at Alexandra Palace. Regular events that took place there include the Brit Awards, the Masters snooker tournament, the Great British Beer Festival and the PDC World Darts Championship. The stations closest to the area are the London Underground Alexandra Palace station and London Underground Wood Green station. Route W3 of the London Buses also serve the area.
